Since the pandemic, the late night dining scene in NYC has deteriorated. After 11pm the culinary scene has become a wasteland. The best late night dining destination is definitely Blue Ribbon Brasserie, and you can find some great bites in Koreatown too.
That’s why I am thankful for Banrai - a sake gastropub/izakaya open Friday and Saturday nights from 11pm-2am inside the East Village ramen restaurant Rai Rai Ken. This place really takes you to late night Tokyo. And the food is great, including the Best yakisoba in NYC!
Banrai is special. I hope the people of NYC who love late night dining, like I do, go here every weekend and pack the place. We need more Banrai’s in NYC. Hope to see you guys there soon- after midnight!
