I’m a huge fan of burgers, not gonna lie. I love them all. Dry-aged, smashed, - (well, fuck veggie burgers those aren’t really burgers those are beans on a bun).
My favorite burger is probably Red Hook Tavern, in Red Hook, Brooklyn, the King! NYC has so many great burgers out there nowadays. One’s that go viral, ones that no one talks about.
Well, I found one in the East Village at a bar on the corner of First Avenue and St. Marks, called The Lions Bar. Their dry-aged burger with American cheese, and grilled onions is fantastic! It reminds me of Red Hook Tavern, -in fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Red Hook was its inspiration, as they are quite similar. But if you want to save a shlep to Red Hook, this glorious specimen will satisfy you greatly.
And while yer at it- may as well get their fried mozzarella for dessert- it fucks too.
