NYC FOODIE QUICK BITE: THEODORA

Incredible Mediterranean awaits you in Ft. Green Brooklyn at Theodora, Chef Tomer Blechman’s ode to dry-aged fish and open fire cooking. This place is wonderful!

Striped Bass Ceviche

I went on a Sunday night and the place was popping! The staff was incredible and everyone was having a grand ole time.

Of course the cooking here is top notch. You should order anything and everything. The menu is divided up into five sections; Crudo, Bread, Vegetables, From The Sea, and Large Format.

We had striped bass ceviche, za’atar kubaneh, pita with hummus, monkfish, and n'duja, seeded laffa with eggplant, shallots, and sesame, cucumber salad, steelhead trout, and Black Cod.

Za’atar Kubaneh, schug, tomato aioli, harissa.

The Black Cod came with a shallot beurre blanc, green asparagus, snap peas, and pea shoots, and was the stand out of the night. The smokiness was to die for. My friend wanted to take a bath in that shallot beurre blanc. Incred.

Dish Of The Night

Steelhead Trout.

We ended with the baklava sundae and the camembert cheesecake. Both were delish. And it was a truly magical night in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn. Special place.
