NYC FOODIE OPENING OF THE WEEK: DON ANGIE

October 30, 2017 Josh Beckerman

The chef/couple that brought us the chicken parm pizza pie at Quality Italian, and some magical lasagna for two at DinnerTable, now brings us Don Angie, a delicious Italian neighborhood joint in on Greenwich Avenue in the West Village.

That Lasagna for two is on this menu too, as is some other delectable pasta dishes, like the perfect Garganelli Giganti with broken meatball ragu, guanciale, and pecorino. Or the black and white Buffalo Milk Caramelle with persimmon and black sesame. Insta gold!

BBQ calamari reminds me of an Italian paella, served with pepperoni fried rice and herbed labne. Stuffed Garlic bread is the way to start the meal, a tad greasy, but cheesy, tasty, and delicious. #dietstartstomorrow

Welcome to the West Village Don Angie. We're glad you're here.
