NYC FOODIE OPENING OF THE WEEK: AMADA

May 5, 2016 Josh Beckerman

Chef Jose Garces has brought his delectable Spanish tapas from Philadelphia over to NYC. Amada opened up last week downtown in Brookfield Place, and it's serving some magical fare. I stopped in day 1 and loved every bite. Philly is crushin' it as of late, and bringing their culinary power to NYC one restaurant at a time (High St. On Hudson, Stephen Starr, Dizengoff, etc). It's exciting and delicious!

You can try some baby squid or lamb meatballs to start, but definitely don't skip the Chanquetes, bacalao and caviar. For all you yolk porn lovers, this one is for you. The night I dined, I was lucky to try some Wagyu beef which was extraordinary. Ask your waiter, and order it, you're mind will be blown.
