NYC FOODIE QUICK BITE: GABRIEL KREUTHER

May 2, 2016 Josh Beckerman

The 3-Star Gabriel Kreuther is quite a fine restaurant. I've had two lunches here, one in their formal dining room, and more recently in their bar room. Both spaces and meals are elegant, refined, and perfectly executed. It's definitely a 3-Star restaurant with perfect service to match. Of course, I'm there for the food.

Don't skip the best tartes flambées in town. The Classic come with smoked bacon, onion, créme fraiche, and fromage blanc. Order it. You'll also enjoy one with hen of the woods mushrooms, comté cheese, chive, nutmeg, and onion. #Delicious.

From their "Snacks" section try the King Crab Croquettes then taste the Flounder Tartare with sesame espuma and ramps. Both are awesome.

Spiced Shishito Peppers are another great snack, which you can follow with King Crab Salad, and then Saffron Gnocchetti with Maine lobster. All are a pure joy to eat.

Of course, you must save room for dessert at Gabriel Kreuther, all are elegant, refined, and perfect, quite like the entire restaurant. Fine Dining on 42nd Street. Yes, it's true. #Magical.
