The recently opened East Village restaurant Virginia's is a great restaurant. Serving solid American fare, it's a great place for a date, or just to grab some wine and nibble on well executed, delicious bites.
Start with their Runner Bean Toast, with anchovy and tomato confit. Seared cuttlefish comes with asparagus, green garlic, and togarashi mayonnaise. Pair that with a Gruet, a sparkling wine from New Mexico, and your night is off to the right start.
The dish that everyone is talking about, and is a must order, is Virginia's Gnocchi with morels. fav beans, and parmesan. It's #outstanding, #awesome, and #magical. #yesplease.
One of the best dishes I had all year is Virginia's Hanger Steak with Argentine chorizo and bok choy. Absolutely perfect, genius, delicious, and wonderful. Another must.
The East Village is filled with many great restaurants. Virginia's is one of them.
