Another day, another East Village gem. What was once the great Calliope, is now Contrada, where Chef John Paidas is serving up some delectable Mediterranean-inspired fare.
Yellowfin Tuna is topped with crispy chicken skin and honey. An interesting touch that works wonderfully.

Grilled asparagus comes with pancetta vinaigrette and hazelnuts. it's awesome.
I rarely eat pig ear salads, but the crispy pig ear salad with treviso and orange is outstanding. #addictive
For dessert, end with the Ricotta Cake with stewed dry fruit and mint. It's simple, lovely, and a gem. Just like Contrada.
