NYC FOODIE QUICK BITE: LOLO'S SEAFOOD SHACK

June 16, 2015 Josh Beckerman

Harlem is in midst of a Renaissance. It's hot. There are some great restaurants opening up there, and one not to be missed is Lolo's Seafood Shack. Stop on in and you'll be whisked away to the Caribbean, as I was, on a recent late afternoon. I sat in their back patio and devoured delectable Caribbean bites. It's casual and fun time, and the food is great!

From smoked wings with achiote glaze, and a lobster roll and soft shell crab served in a johnny cake, to shrimp and crawfish, the Caribbean flavors are spot on. Corn on the cob comes with cotija cheese, and don't skip the johnny cakes with honey butter. They are incredible.
