Chef Marcus Samuelsson, the Prince of Harlem, the best dressed chef I've pretty much encountered, has the magic touch. His Red Rooster has been a hit since the day it opened. And now he is bringing us rotisserie chicken glory with his new Streetbird Rotisserie. I stopped in recently to this cool joint, and enjoyed it immensely. The place was packed, early on the Sunday evening, so be prepared to wait if you go in on a prime time. But what you are waiting for is some well-priced, delicious fare, and one killer rotisserie chicken!
So definitely order a half or whole rotisserie chicken. It is truly magical and wonderful. Then try the "Return of the Mac", Cheddar, Parmesan, Rigatoni. It's fabulous!
Skip the General Ye's Chicken, (save that for the Chinese restaurants), instead try the flavors of a bird dish called Swediopan. Doro Wat, Injera, fresh cheese, and boiled egg. It's a taste of Africa in Harlem, and it's #awesome.
Streetbird Rotisserie is a fun and festive spot, a welcoming addition to the continually booming Harlem. Check it out, some magical birds await.
