NYC FOODIE QUICK BITE: BAZ BAGEL

January 10, 2015 Josh Beckerman

Ahhh..the bagel. A New York City staple. Just like the pizza slice, the bagel has become synonymous with NYC. Our fine city has some fine bagel joints to get your cream cheese, lox, and then some on. Last year Russ & Daughters Cafe and Black Seed Bagels got all the fanfare, but one place that should not be overlooked is Baz Bagel. Located in Little Italy, Baz Bagel & Restaurant is a bagel shop and restaurant serving some great stuff. It's pretty fabulous.

Start with some addictive whitefish and bagel chips, and a sampling of Baz's latkes. They are #awesome.

You can pick your own bagel and topping, or try one of Baz's originals, like the "Pretty In Pink", nova, beet & horseradish cream cheese, dill, on a pumpernickel bagel. It's fabulous.

Or maybe a trio of their salmon will tickle your fancy, it tickled mine. And don't skip Baz's blintzes, they are #amazing.

End with a jelly donut, or some cookies, and your magical bagel restaurant adventure will be complete.

I'm Bonkers for Baz, you will be too.
