I stopped into the Williamsburg "oyster den" Maison Premiere recently for the first time, and am happy to say it is fucking awesome. The vibe is modern Victorian, with a gorgeous patio out back. The wraparound bar up front is perfect for a great cocktail, or one of their Absinthes, from the large collection they have. Pair that with a selection of oysters from their list of 30, and the perfect night awaits. The selection of oysters here is astounding, and you must order a bunch. But there are other bites at Maison Premiere that will tickle your taste buds with joy too. Maison Premiere is a great restaurant. Period.
Both West Coast and East Coast are represented strong here. Do what I did, and try a few from both coasts, and let the culinary adventure commence.
Sea Urchin ($14) with daikon and ginger, is a refreshing bite.
Crayfish bread ($13) with horseradish remoulade and Creole spice is very nice, although could have been helped with a little more kick.
Turbot ($19), served in a chowder with seaweed and clams is amazing. Superb. Wonderful.
For dessert, my cheesecake ($9) with marcona almond, chocolate ganache, and maldon salt, was awesome. The perfect little ending to a perfect meal.
So get your oyster and cocktail on at Maison Premiere, a magical night awaits.
