NYC FOODIE QUICK BITE: ATERA LOUNGE

Have you been to Atera yet? It's one of the most magical culinary experiences you will encounter.  Well, you might not know this, but one floor below Atera, is a small and intimate lounge serving some ingenious cocktails, and amazing bar snacks. I stopped in last week and had a marvelous time. The bar snacks are some of the same snacks served upstairs at the restaurant, so it's a good introduction to Chef Matthew Lightner's cooking. The cocktails are fabulous, and if nothing tickles your fancy on their cocktail menu, just tell the bartender what you like, and he shall concoct you something perfect. Also, there is an off-the-menu cheeseburger that is quite awesome too!

The Camp Fire: bourbon, creme de cacao, marshmallow root, smoked tobacco. Awesome.
