Bacaro is the perfect date spot. A hidden Lower East Side Italian gem. Upstairs is the bar area, and downstairs is a labyrinth of wooden rooms that I didn't even realize existed at first, while I ate upstairs. It's a really cool spot, and I recommend you check it out.
A special appetizer of asparagus, cheese, and egg was fine. Nothing crazy or mindblowing about this dish, just straightforward.
The dish to get at Bacaro though, the dish that my table mates went gaga for and insisted I order, is the spaghetti nero ($17). Pasta with cuttlefish ink. An egg came on top of that too. And the dish is absolutely outstanding. Order it.
Bacaro is that Lower East Side Italian joint you just stumble on, and are extremely happy you did. A magical night awaits.
