The new Archie & Sons is serving "classic New York fare" in the East Village, and some of the Best melts you'll ever have. I stopped by last week, and was wowed with the perfection of the melt I ordered. The space will bring you back to the luncheonette's of the 50's, truly classic. The food is simple, but really fresh, and really great.

I had a chicken and pea salad melt on pita, half cheddar, half swiss, and it was pure awesomeness.

Both macaroni salad and potato salad were spot on delicious. And that horseradish pickle surely did a body good.

In these modern culinary times of ours, Archie & Sons is a welcomed throwback to the classics. It's straight up classic, and straight up great.
