Banjara

January 11, 2013 Josh Beckerman

Ah, Indian cuisine. I don't eat Indian fare too often, although I enjoy it immensely. There is an entire street in the East Village dedicated to this cuisine. Little India, located on 6th Street between 1st Ave and 2nd Ave has a plethora of choices for you to choose from. I have no idea which is the best, but I did have a delectable meal at Banjara recently, right on the corner of 6th and 1st.

Samosas ($3.50) are fine, nothing too crazy. Their dosa was delicious.

A shrimp dish was tasty as can be, and had nice flavor.

Lamb Chop Masala was wonderful.

Dessert was fine too.

So for a solid Indian experience, Banjara is a fine choice.
