Happy Cooking Hospitality, the team behind such hits as Fedora, Joseph Leonard, Jeffrey's Grocery, and Bar Sardine, are now doing the food and beverage at the newly opened Freehand Hotel on 23rd and Lex. Their ground floor restaurant is called Simon & The Whale, and it's quite solid.

With dishes like Zeppole with bacon and smoked gouda, Cauliflower with veal tongue pastrami, Guinea hen, Sunchoke consonsei, and doughnuts, a magical meal awaits.
