The long awaited Loring Place by chef Dan Kluger of ABC Kitchen fame is a hit! I stopped in recently for dinner and brunch and love the place. I had two meals when they first opened, and didn't love it, but Loring Place has found it's stride.
All restaurants need some time to evolve, work out its kinks, and become the restaurant they are destined to become. Loring Place has done just that. It's a great restaurant.
Start with the hummus and radishes- it's not a middle eastern restaurant, yet this is some of the best hummus in town. Then snack on the raw vegetables with carrot-ginger puree, and the baked ricotta and roasted kabocha- veggies done right.
Tuna tartare comes with sunchokes, tarragon, and ginger. #yesplease
I do love me some pizza. Their spicy meatball pizza comes with fennel, mozzarella, and shepherd's basket cheese. #fabulous #whatcarbs?
If you like a good pork chop, the one at Loring Place is wonderful. Grilled with cabbage and pomegranate. It's juicy and delicious.
For dessert, you may as well get everything like my table did. The Vanilla Ice Cream "Blizzard" is a must though, with pretzels, walnut toffee, chocolate cookie-fudge and meyer lemon. It's addictive as fuck! Could not stop eating it. #dietstartstomorrow
Also, Loring Place is now serving brunch on the weekends, and it is absolutely amazing. With dishes like Cheddar Waffles & Eggs, and Smoked Salmon pizza with cream cheese, it's truly the perfect brunch menu. #Awesomeness
