NYC FOODIE OPENING OF THE WEEK: ASIA DE CUBA

March 31, 2015 Josh Beckerman

She's baaaack! Asia De Cuba, that Asian/Latin fusion joint has reopened in the old Butter space on Lafayette. Ah..Memories..This space is nostalgic, and it's a gorgeous room, with ample space to dine on some delectable bites. First you must try what could be NYC's best Mojito. Asia De Cuba is the only restaurant I know that has their own sugar cane juicer. Start with that cocktail and then grab some of those fusion bites.

Try any of their ceviches, such as the fluke ceviche which comes with mojo amarillo, surfeit crude, and radish. #fresh

Sweet soy beef crudo comes with Spanish peanuts, pickled vegetables, mango, and avocado. #perfection. Chicken Chicharrones served with your choice of either an onion mojo or a honey soy glaze are delicious.

Churros come stuffed with shrimp and sesame, and thai curry. #yesplease.
