The Lower East Side of NYC is fast becoming a true culinary destination. Ever expanding, growing with new construction and developments, it's one of the hottest spots in town now. One new restaurant that should be on your radar is called Lowlife. It's a casual fine dining restaurant in a great looking space, on Stanton between Clinton and Attorney Streets. I stopped in recently and loved every bite.
You won't want to pass up their bread service. The accompanying butter is addictive as heck. Then move on to Lowlife's take on Borscht, served with trout roe and raw cream. It's cute and delicious.
Do not skip the lamb tartare with mint and shrimp salt. It is fabulous. #yesplease
Chicken dishes are huge nowadays in NYC. Restaurants are doing amazing stuff, from magical chicken for two's, two sensational fried chicken dishes. Chicken is the new steak. Lowlife does a chicken yakitori with scallion and smoked cabbage, and it's excellent. #godbless
The #pastalover in me loved Lowlife's garganelli with lamb bolognese. It's awesome. #sexy
The #Best guinea hen dish I had all year, and quite possibly the best in #NYC was served to me here at Lowlife. Served wit bread sauce, carrots, and mustards, it was truly magical. #thankyougod
You can end with a perfect apple tart, and your Lower East Side culinary adventure will be complete. A true joy in one of the hottest culinary scenes in New York City. #iloveNY
