What was once Dressler, is now Meadowsweet, Chef Polo Dobkin's Williasmburg gem. I stopped in recently and loved everything about this place. From the great space, to the delectable fare, it's a perfect restaurant.
Peekytoe crab cakes, with avocado-herb puree was delicious.
Scallop ceviche, lime, tomato, avocado, and cilantro hit the spot. That perfect balance of acid to sweetness. #yesplease
Some of the #best crispy artichokes I've ever eaten are served at Meadowsweet. Served with baby arugula, shaved parmesan, & a creamy garlic dressing. It's a must order. #greatness
Poached Hudson Valley egg, comes with wild mushrooms, asparagus, frisee, and truffle dressing was delicious.
The hand rolled ricotta 'cuscino', comes with English peas, pea shoots, and parmesan broth. You'll want to make sure you still have some of those complimentary parker house rolls to sop up that awesome broth.
Roasted baby carrots, with labneh, zatar, & honey are divine. #awesomeness
St. Louis ribs come with a bourbon bbq sauce and are wonderful.
If seafood tickles your fancy, order the plancha marina, scallop, seppiolini, head on shrimp, piperada, and aioli. Your fancy will be tickled.
You can't skip dessert at Meadowsweet. Why? Because they are all #Awesome. Order any of them, and your Williamsburg culinary adventure will have a sweet and happy ending.
