What was once Veritas, is now élan, from chef David Waltuck, of famed Chanterelle. I stopped in on their first night open, and was delighted with some solidly executed and delicious fare.
Oysters on the half shell with a ginger mignonette are fabulous.
Soy and sake cured beef with mushrooms is unique and wonderful.
Striped bass with red wine and sage is very nice. Nothing too crazy, but solid. I enjoyed it.
