NYC FOODIE OPENING OF THE WEEK: ROOT & BONE

When I found out that Chef Jeff McInnis, the chef of Yardbird Southern Table & Bar, one of the country's Best restaurants, was moving to New York City, to open a place, I got beyond excited. And you should too. Root & Bone, now opened in the East Village is serving some delectable food that you are going to love. I stopped in for a few bites at a friends & family party, and was thrilled with each bite. Their fried chicken is sweet tea brined, pickled lemon dusted, and served with spiked Tabasco honey. #Fuckingawesome. Their "Drunken Deviled Eggs" come with pickled roots and sunflower sprouts. #yesplease. Their Australian rack of lamb comes with roasted roots, horseradish crusted sweet potato & leek gratin. Served with a carrot barbecue sauce and watercress. And  you know what? It's delicious. I'm looking forward to going back to have a proper sit down meal. Lucky for me I live close by. A magical meal awaits.
