NYC FOODIE QUICK BITE: AZASU

May 27, 2014 Josh Beckerman

A fun and festive izakaya awaits you in the Lower East Side. Azasu, the sister restaurant to Yopparai, is a casual Japanese joint, offering delicious and perfectly executed Japanese bites, to pair along with some refreshing sake and beer. It's a fun time to be had by all, and a magical night awaits.

Gyoza come filled with pork or tofu and are delicious.

Everything fried at Azasu is perfect and tasty as can be. The chicken, pork & beef meat balls, and the panko-crusted shrimp skewers, made me one happy eater. True awesomeness.

Yakisoba, pan-fried noodles with vegetable tempura fritters is pure noodle heaven. #Greatness

One dish, not to be missed, is Azasu's take on poutine. It's called Niku Jyaga, which is simmered beef & onions over krinkle cut fries. And it's fucking awesome.

Also, their ham sandwich Japanese soft white bread is sensational. Loved it!

End with Azasu's Choco Parfait, homemade soft serve,  chocolate sauce, corn flakes, and whipped cream, and  your night, as well as your life, will be complete. More fucking awesomeness! :P

Fun, Festive, and an awesome Japanese experience await you at Azasu. See you there, a magical night awaits!
