Jesse Schenker the great chef/owner of Recette has opened up his follow up, The Gander in the Flatiron District, and it's delicious. I stopped in this past week to get a little taste, in what was previously Allison 18. Magical bites await!
One of the best bar "snacks" you'll consume in your life will be Jesse's Brisket "Tots", potato, and mustard ($9). They are genius and delicious!
Sea Trout Tartare ($16) is fabulous.
Spaghetti & Clams ($14), bisque, guanciale, and fennel is perfection.
Do not skip pasty genius Christina Lee's desserts. I had a fabulous Banana Parfait ($10) with saffron, caramel, and coconut. #YesPlease.
