TABLE FOR ONE: NOMAD BAR

October 9, 2014 Josh Beckerman

One of the Best restaurants to open up this year is not really a restaurant, it's a bar. The Nomad Restaurant has opened up an annex bar, called the Nomad Bar, where chef James Kent is serving decadent and top notch bar fare to go along with your sexy cocktails. This is not your normal bar menu. I stopped in recently and was blown away with the extensive food menu, and every bite I had was a lesson in decadence and deliciousness.

The Burger ($17), is dry-aged, served with cheddar, red onions, and pickles. It's outstanding. The Hot Dog ($14), is bacon-wrapped with black truffle & celery. It's not too shabby, and takes the hot dog to a whole new level. My instagram followers thought it looked sexual, but don't mind them, they are a dirty bunch. Of course, the piéce de résistance at the Nomad Bar is the Chicken Pot Pie ($36), which comes with black truffle and foie gras. Was there bone marrow in it too? Yes. Is this the most decadent and most expensive chicken pot pie I've eaten? Yes. Is it the best? Yes. It's a magical dish, fit for a king- or at least for this foodie that makes food disappear daily and nightly. Order it. You can end your meal with the Nomad's homemade chocolate and caramel candy bar, or even better their cookies and cream, vanilla ice cream wrapped by cookie crumbs. It's #fuckingawesome.

For a sexy good time, with great drinks, and decadent fare, the Nomad Bar hits the spot. A magical night out awaits.
