The Empellon team (Taqueria, Cocina) has opened up a third baby on the corner of St. Marks and Avenue A called Empellon Al Pastor. I've already stopped by twice to try their small menu of tacos and some sides, and it's great.

This place is really a bar, that serves delicious tacos. The namesake Al Pastor, is a spit roasted pork taco with green salsa and pineapple and onion. It's the holy grail, and you should order it. #Awesomeness. The other tacos I had, Mushrooms with Pasilla chile, Potatoes and red chorizo, and steak with caramelized onions, all come on Al Pastor's housemade masa tortillas, and are all delectable. For $4 a pop, you may as well order all of them! #yesplease The one side I had called Drunken Black Beans, Al Pastor scraps was delicious too. And while your their, may as well have a cocktail, beer, margarita, or michelada, their menu is extensive and wonderful.
