NYC FOODIE QUICK BITE: NARUTO RAMEN

January 9, 2014 Josh Beckerman

Another day, another ramen joint. With this cold weather, there is nothing I enjoy eating more, than a nice bowl of warm and soothing ramen. There plenty of great ramen joints in this magical city of ours, and I'm always on the look out for the next best bowl of ramen. Last month, I happened to be doing a show on the Upper East Side, an area I rarely eat in, and stumbled upon Naruto ramen. A no thrills ramen joint, which happens to be really good too.

The dumpling addict I am, I started with some delicious gyoza ($4.50), and then worked my way into Naruto's signature Naruto Ramen ($9). Soy sauce based noodle soup with bamboo shoot, boiled egg scallion, dried seaweed, beansprout, fish cake and roast pork. Soothing, delicious, ramen perfection. Should you find yourself on the Upper East Side craving a great bowl of ramen, Naruto will surely hit the spot. Stay warm friends! And eat well.
