When was the last time you had cuisine from the country of Laos? I'm guessing, like me, your answer is "Never". Well that can now change, with the opening of Khe-Yo in Tribeca. The great Marc Forgione has partnered here with his Executive chef Soulayphet Schwader, on this new joint serving flavorful Laotian fare.
Crunchy Coconut Rice ($10) comes with Spicy Kaffir Lime Sausage and Baby Iceberg. It's flavorful, tasty, and downright delicious!
Long Island Fluke & Banana Flower ($13) comes with Fresh Mint, Kaffir Lime, and Galangal Chips. Greatness.
Creekstone Farms Sesame Beef Jerky ($12) with smoked chili sauce and fresh radish, is jerky perfection.
Jurgielwicz Duck salad ( $15) with lemongrass, Langue de Canard, and Rau-Rum, has some unique flavor going on that will tease your tastebuds.
Whole Grilled Black Bass ($31) comes with crispy shallots and tamarind peanut sauce. Another delicious dish.
The cocktails at Khe-Yo are great too. So grab a drink, have a seat, and set sail to country of Laos in Tribeca. A magical and flavorful culinary adventure awaits.
