Gramercy Tavern is one of NYC's great and best restaurants. True restaurant perfection. Well, you should know that they have one of the best lunch deals in town too. For $16, you can get a soup and a sandwich (which changes daily) . I went recently and had a chilled melon soup which was fabulous. My sandwich was probably the best roast beef sandwich I had ever eaten. It came with Reading Raclette cheese, tomatoes, pickled fennel, and basil aioli. It was unbelievable and genius. I loved the char the bread had from the grill too. It was a special sandwich in a special place.
