My favorite go to spot in Chinatown in the wee hours of the night is Hop Kee, a hidden Chinese restaurant open til 4am on weekends. I have been there many times, including last week, when for some wacky reason, I decided to get two fried dishes. Sometimes crispy goodness just tickles my fancy late at night, just don't tell my heart.
Fried wontons ($6.50) were perfectly crispy little bundles of joy filled with juicy pork. I was dining alone, and did not realize so many came per order, but I did my best to consume them all for you guys.
Half a fried Spring chicken ($11.95) was a fabulous late night bird! Tasty and delicious crispy skin, tender and juicy meat, and a sprinkle of fresh lemon, made this dish great!
So, if you are drunk and get that late night Chinese food craving, or if you are sober, and want to fulfill your late night Chinese fantasies, hop on over to Hop Kee in Chinatown. Chinese delicacies await!
