The great Avenue C cocktail lounge The Wayland has opened up a sandwich shop called Animals next door, serving delicious sandwiches.
Start off with their Beast ($9), beef braised in red wine, aromatics, and stone fruits, with pickled onions and horseradish creme. This hearty sandwich will fill you up for the day. And it tastes great.
Pulled Bacon ($9) comes torta style with tomato, lettuce, avocado, pickled jalapenos, red slaw, refried baked beans and chili mayo. Delectable and scrumptious.
