NYC FOODIE QUICK BITE: FAUSTO

April 9, 2018 Josh Beckerman

What was once the popular Franny's in Prospect Heights/Park Slope Brooklyn, is now Fausto. From two vets of the great L'artusi, they have brought their great service and great food to Brooklyn. I stopped in last night and loved everything about this restaurant! Fausto is a great restaurant.

Some of the best meatballs I've had were served to me. Juicy and packed with flavor, set atop a broccoli rabe pesto, it's a must order. Arancini are light and tasty, while red snapper crudo is refreshing with a burst of citrus.

Pastas are not to be missed at Fausto. Both the buckwheat rigatoni and the orecchiete were fabulous!

Roast chicken was perfect, and don't skip the gem salad, which popped with flavor and a touch of sweetness from wildflower honey. You can end with the lemon ricotta cake, and all will be well in the World. Brooklyn crushing the culinary game!
