Have you been to Wylie Dufresne's Alder yet? His follow-up to his molecular ingenious WD-50? You should, because it's a great and fun spot for cocktails and unique and playful bites. The cuisine here is fun, and different, and I love what he and chef Jon Bignelli are doing here. And one dish, that is new, and needs to be talked about is their Carrot Cake Sundae. I'll tell you why you need to know about it. 'Cause it's #FuckingAwesome! Exclamation point. Cream Cheese Ice Cream, deep fried carrot cake, cocoa nibs, candied walnuts, carrot syrup, white chocolate syrup. Yes, please. It's one of the best things I've ever eaten. Pure Sundae Perfection.
