TABLE FOR ONE: DISTILLED

I stopped by a delicious joint in Tribeca last week, it's called Distilled, and it says on their website, they are "redefining the public house". I don't know about that, but what I do know is the rumors and press is right: they have some of the best darn wings in town! Chef Shane Lyons, is using his experience at Momofuku, to turn out some of the most tasty and tangy wings I have ever come across.

The Distilled wings are made with Gochujang, a Korean condiment made from red chili, glutinous rice, fermented soybeans, and salt. This paste adds the perfect balance of spiciness and tanginess to these amazing wings. They are served with micro celery and Point Reyes Blue Cheese. Now, the wings on their own are quite fabulous. The addition of this cheese, just brings the dish to another ingenious level. Fucking Awesome.

Chilled Charred Broccoli comes with peanuts, duck bacon, and pickled watermelon rinds. it is quite tasty and has great texture too.

Also, what could be the best popcorn I've ever had, Distilled serves a complimentary bowl of popcorn made with Brewer's yeast, garlic, and cumin. It is ingenious, awesome, and beyond addictive. Thank you Distilled!

So stop by Distilled in Tribeca, for some sensational wings, a good drink, and a good time. This is one magical Public House.
