What was once the Hotel Roger Williams, is now the beautifully revamped Hotel Roger, and they are serving some tasty bites in their mezzanine restaurant and Parlour lounge.
An all-star team was commissioned to launch Hotel Roger's rebranding, including John Flannigan (opened the Ace and now President of JRK Hotel Group), hospitality guru Steven Kamali (Capri, Thompson Hotels, Rushmeyers, Surf Lodge, Nobu, etc), designer Anna Busta (W South Beach), mixologist Johnny Swet (Jimmy, Hotel Griffou), and acclaimed chef Julie Farias. They did a fantastic job, and I had a wonderful lunch on their mezzanine last week, which left me plenty satisfied.
A Caesar salad with white anchovies, house dressing, croutons, and parmesan, is refreshing as can be.
Oyster Po Boys are tasty little guys, with great crunch, helped on by a nice fennel slaw.
Soda dipped fried chicken served with Sriracha honey and yogurt dipping sauces is awesome. Tender, juicy, great. That Sriracha honey is out of this world pure genius!
Mini burgers made with beef short rib, and served with pickle and ketchup on a brioche bun are really nice too.
Also, you MUST order for dessert the chocolate chip vanilla ice cream sandwiches. They are unbelievable. Perfection!
I'm really glad the Roger did a great revamp all around. With food this tasty, I'd sure like to be this Mister Roger's neighbor.
