NYC FOODIE LUNCH OF THE WEEK: TASTE GOOD MALAYSIAN

Two weeks ago I had an amazing lunch, not in Manhattan, but in Elmhurst, Queens, at Taste Good Malaysian, an unbelievable, authentic Malaysian restaurant. There really is no decor, but the food is out of this world. I was invited by a fellow foodie who was doing a huge foodie write up for his website www.wanderingfoodie.com, and we had a truly fantastic tasting!

A perfect roti canai and some great pickled vegetables to start the meal.

A curry laksa with stuffed bean curd was outstanding!

I didn't think anything could top that curry laksa until I had the Singapore Laksa with flavors so complex and delicious, it was a truly mind-blowing dish, that still lingers in my mind!

A fine rendition of beef satay and crispy fish cakes were some other great appetizers.

Char Kway Teow, a noodle dish with beef and shrimp was fine.

Beef rendang was delicious.

After having this amazing meal I realized how worth it was to travel 20 minutes on the subway. Taste Good Malaysian surely tastes good!
