Before I had a bowl of oatmeal at OatMeals in the West Village, the last time I ate it was around 1984. You see, I'm not a big oatmeal eater. Which is silly, because a close friend of mine, who is in unbelievable shape eats it for breakfast daily. "Gotta have your oats," she tells me. Well, after eating at OatMeals, I am addicted. Oatmeals is the Pinkberry of oatmeal joints. In fact, I don't know any other spot in NYC just selling oatmeal and oatmeal pastries. If you are a fan of oatmeal, I highly recommend you stop by. You're gonna love it!
My first bowl from OatMeals was their savory Truffle RisOATto ($5), shaved parmesan, truffle oil, sea salt & cracked black pepper. Of course being on a diet, I topped it with bacon too. Oh, and it was awesome, unbelievable, and orgasmic. Oatmeal perfection.
