Brooklyn is hip and cool. I love it. I love its restaurants, food, and vibe. I stopped into the Thistle Hill Tavern in Park Slope last week for lunch and it was delicious!

A side of house made pickles ($6) were the best pickles I've had. The perfect touch of sweetness, and a perfect crunch, made this pure pickle perfection.

My speck and fried egg sandwich ($12), with smoked cheddar and tomato, on a potato roll, was decadently amazing. I loved this sandwich! The salt and pepper fries that came with it were great too.

So for another Brooklyn winner, stop by the Thistle Hill Tavern, you'll be glad you did.
